Hello there. Thank you for dropping by and taking a look around my blog. I do hope you’ve found something that you enjoyed and that you drop by again soon.
My
name is Karen Spreckley and I live in a small town called Brackley in Northamptonshire
with my Partner, my Son, and my Mum.
I
work full time in the NHS as a Laboratory Manager, but paper crafting is my
passion outside of work, which I try and do in some form or another on a daily
basis.
My
crafting style has evolved over the years and will probably evolve further.
When I first started stamping and making cards, I loved a vintage, grungy look
where every square inch of the cardstock was inked, torn or stamped on in some
way. But you find me today with a cleaner and simpler style which is also much
quicker to achieve, so that is probably why my evolution occurred as I’m not
one to spend days deliberating over a design or a colour scheme. If I really
don’t like what I produce, then it’ll end up in the recycling bin. It’s just a
piece of card at the end of the day.
In
February 2016 I was offered the opportunity to join Stampin’ Up! and I jumped
at the chance because I wanted to buy all my crafting supplies at a discount.
But little did I know what a wonderful world Stampin’ Up! would open up for me.
I already loved their products and their colour coordination because I had been
using them at classes for several years with Jenny McCormac (My Stampin’ Up! Up
line). What I hadn’t realised was how much people matter in the Stampin’ Up!
world. Now that’s my kind of company.
I
run monthly face to face classes at my home in Brackley and I send out a Newsletter a couple of times a month. I aim to share news,
special offers, class info, card making tutorials and my creations with you.
Thanks
for dropping by,
Karen
